Year 2008
‧Teaching Kitchen (P110) at Tourism and Languages Building at Taoyuan Campus was opened up using on March 2008.
‧On April of the same year, Golf, Paintball, Archery Courts which is behind Comprehensive Teaching Building (EE Building) was built up and started using.
‧Flight Service Simulation Room (P312) has established on November 2008. Ms. Yi-Jun Chen, the secretary of Taoyuan Campus Administration Division, was transferred to President's Office on June. The job vacancy was filled by Ms. Hui-Mei Chou, who was an Administrative Affairs Division Senior Clerk. Mr. Chih-Li Wang was transferred from Taoyuan Academic Affairs Section to Graduate School of Communications Management as a director on July. The vacant position was filled by Dr. Shou-Chuan Lai, who was a full-time professor in Information and Telecommunications Engineering Department.
‧On November, the chief of Taoyuan Student Affairs Section, Mr. Shun-Hua Chang, was transferred to other university as general drillmaster; in order to improve the quality of fine service, enhance the efficiency of team working, and establish a full alternate system, Mr. Te-Chih Liou, who was the chief of Taoyuan Evening Class Administration Section, served the post of the chief of Taoyuan Student Affairs Section. Mr. Hsing-Wen Chou transferred from Chengkung Campus Administration Section to Taoyuan General Affairs Section; Mr. Yow-Jeng Lin transferred from General Affairs Section to Evening Class Administration Section, and served in Chengkung Campus Administration Section as a second job.
‧Teaching and Learning Resources Center (CC206) was moved to International Dormitory (FF204) in October 2008. Teaching and Learning Resources Center continued to provide high quality service in teaching and learning area. In the academic year of 2008, there are 10,500 students in Taoyuan Campus (Overseas youth vocational training school and exchanged students are not included.).

Year 2009
‧Academia-Industry Innovation Center was established in Tourism and Languages Building in March, 2009. It helped improving the reputation of Ming Chuan University and raising the competing ability of students. In response to environmental consciousness, a supervisory control apparatus was built up in April, 2009.
‧At the same year, Taoyuan offices of General Education Center and Ming Chuan Weekly were established in the first floor of Tourism and Languages Building in August. The construction of Golf、Paintball、Archery Courts was completed in September. In the academic year of 2009, Graduate School of Education moved from Taipei campus to Tourism and Languages Building (P107-1) of Taoyuan campus.
‧The supervisory control apparatus was continuing built up in October. In the academic year of 2009, there are 11,000 students in Taoyuan Campus (Overseas youth vocational training school and exchanged students are not included.).

Year 2010
‧In March 2010, “Chengkung Stairway” next to the main entrance was officially started using. It could lead to Chengkung Campus directly. There were totally 145 stairs and hopefully it could shorten the route between the main entrance to Chengkung Campus. Also, students and faculty might enjoy the scenery of Gueishan Township along the way. “Chengkung Stairway” was a convenient facility in Taoyuan Campus. In August of the same year, Dr. Ker-Chang Chen, Deputy Executive Director of Taoyuan Campus Administration Division, was on sabbatical leave for 2010 to 2011 academic year.‧The job vacancy was acted by Dr. Ching-Hui Chang, professor in Applied Statistics and Information Science Department. In October, in order to promote and fulfill exchanging cross-strait culture, “MCU Cross-Strait Cultural Exchange Center” was officially established on the basement of Tourism and Languages Building. In November, Mr. Yow-Jeng Lin, the Section Chief of Taoyuan Evening Class and Chengkung Campus Administration Section, was transferred to Construction and Buildings Section of General Affairs Division.
‧The affairs of Taoyuan Evening Class Administration were truly important; therefore, the job vacancy was acted by Mr. Chih-Yung Ling, who was a campus security staff in Chengkung Campus Administration Section. Due to Mr. Shuh-Chung Chang, the Lieutenant colonel and drillmaster in Taoyuan Student Affairs Section was promoted to colonel and drillmaster on January 1, 2011; he served as Section Chief of Taoyuan Student Affairs Section started from February 1, 2011.
‧In order to improve the quality of fine service, enhance the efficiency of team working, and establish a full alternate system, Mr. Te-Chih Liou, who was the section chief of Taoyuan Student Affairs Section, served the post of the section chief of Taoyuan Evening Class and Chengkung Campus Administration Section.
‧Mr. Chih-Yung Ling was get back to campus security staff in Chengkung Campus Administration Section. In the academic year of 2010, the number of students was growing constantly and persistently. There are 11,265 students in Taoyuan Campus, including 10,715 undergraduate students and 550 graduate students.

Year 2011
‧In January 2011, in commemoration of the 100th National Day of Taiwan and the great contributions of Dr. Sun, Yet-Sen in founding the first democratic republic in Asia - Taiwan, the Republic of China - his granddaughter, Mrs. Sun, Sui-Fang presented a bronze statue of Dr. Sun, Yet-Sen to the university. This statue is situated in the Ming Garden plaza on Taoyuan campus.
‧In April 2011, in recognition of Mr. Liu, Ming-Chuan’s active development of Taiwan (the first Governor in Taiwan), “Liu Ming-Chuan Memorial Garden” was established in front of the Comprehensive Teaching Building. A bronze statue of Mr. Liu was personally presented by the Governor of An-Hui Province, Mainland China, and set up in the garden. Meanwhile, so as to enhance our academic interaction with An-Hui Province, the hometown of Mr. Liu, Ming-Chuan, we cooperated with An-Hui Government to establish the “An-Hui Education Center” on the 4th floor of Comprehensive Teaching Building.‧In August 2011, Dr. Ching-Hui Chang concluded his role as acting Deputy Executive Director of Taoyuan Campus Administration Division and Dr. Ker-Chang Chen resumed his duties in this position following his 2010-11 AY sabbatical leave.
‧In October 2011, the International Village construction project was officially launched right after its approval by the government authority; the expected date of completion is July 2012. In the same month, Mr. Te-Chih Liu retired from his positions as Section Chief of Taoyuan Evening Class Administration Section and Chengkung Campus Administration Section. Mr. Hsing-Wen Chou has succeeded him in these positions according to the job rotation system of Taoyuan Campus Administration Division. Also, full-time associate professor of Physical Education Office, Mr. San-Chuan Cheng began serving as Section Chief of Taoyuan General Affairs Section.
‧In 2011-12 academic year, there has been a steady growth in the number of students on Taoyuan campus. Currently, 11,427 students are matriculating toward a degree at MCU on Taoyuan Campus, comprising 10,746 undergraduate and 681 graduate students.

Year 2012
‧In September 2012, Mr. Hsing-Wen Chou concluded his role as Section Chief of Chengkung Administration Section. Mr. Yow-Jeng Lin transferred from Construction and Buildings Section of General Affairs Section to Chengkung Administration Section.
‧In December 2012, Taoyuan Campus obtained a license for the second stage development project. Total area to be developed is 3.4 hectares. In 2012-13 academic year, 11,163 students are matriculating toward a degree at MCU on Taoyuan Campus, comprising 10,459 undergraduate and 704 graduate students.

Year 2013
‧In February 2013, in accord with the overall campus plan, the Graduate School of Education moved from first floor to fifth floor (P503 and P504) in Tourism and Languages Building.
‧In March 2013, in order to provide more professional classrooms and spaces for Overseas Youth Vocational Training School Baking and Pastry Arts students, Taoyuan Campus Bakery Teaching Kitchen was unveiled in the Tourism and Languages Building (P107).
‧Effective August 1, 2013, Dr. Jer-Wen Hsu was appointed as Dean of General Affairs Division, and continues to serve as Executive Director of Taoyuan Campus Administration Division. Dr. San-Chuan Cheng resigned from his administrative position as the Section Chief of the Taoyuan General Affairs Section due to his own career plans. Effective August 1, 2013, Mr. Hsing-Wen Chou was appointed as the Section Chief of the Taoyuan General Affairs Section. Mr. Yung-Biou Wen was appointed as the Section Chief of the Taoyuan Evening Class Administration Section.
‧In October 2013, Teaching Chinese as a Second Language Department and Mandarin Studies and Culture Center moved from Ying-Chao Memorial Library fifth floor to Tourism and Languages Building fifth floor.
‧In November 2013, Mr. Yung-Biou Wen was named as the Section Chief and Specialist of Operations Section, General Affairs Division.
‧Effective December 16, 2013, Ms. Ling-Shiuan Chen was appointed as the Section Chief and Specialist of Taoyuan Evening Class Administration Section, Taoyuan Campus Administration Division. International College and International Education and Exchange Division moved from Ying-Chao Memorial Library fifth floor to International Dormitory second floor.
‧In December 2013, English Language Center moved from Information Network Building second floor to Ying-Chao Memorial Library fifth floor. Teacher Education Center moved from Ying-Chao Memorial Library fifth floor to Tourism and Languages Building fifth floor.
‧In January 2014, Teaching and Learning Resources Center moved from International Dormitory second floor to Information Network Building second floor (CC205). The Center continues to provide excellent teaching and learning services. In 2013-14 academic year, 11,265 students are matriculating toward a degree at MCU on Taoyuan Campus, comprised of 10,672 undergraduate and 593 graduate students.

Year 2014
‧Chengkung Campus Administration Section was renamed as “Chengkung Administration and Energy Management Section” on May 1, 2014 to focus on economizing on water and electricity use and sharing experiences with other MCU locations.
‧In June 2014, MCU was granted a 10 million NTD promotion subsidy for “2014 Energy-saving performance-guarantee Projects Demonstration” from Bureau of Energy, Ministry of Economic Affairs. The improvement priorities are the heat pump system in the First and Second Dormitories, and the LED street lamps on the Taoyuan Campus. The heat pump system and street lamps are all included in the Energy Management System for better understanding of campus usage of energy.
‧At the end of August 2014, a porch outside the 3rd floor of First Gymnasium was completed to enhance the campus environment. Faculty, staff and students may feel more affection toward the University through enjoyment of learning and leisure spaces.
‧In 2014-15 academic year, 10,804 undergraduate and 567 graduate students, for a total of 11,371 students, are matriculating toward a degree at MCU on Taoyuan Campus.

Year 2015
‧In January 2015, Taoyuan campus continued to focus on energy economies by converting street lights around campus to light emitting diode (LED) lamps.
‧In April 2015, Taoyuan campus updated the reservoir which is located in the student underground parking garage.
‧In July 2015, boiler hot-water supply system in Dormitory I and II were changed to a heat pump system.
‧In December 2015, in accord with the overall campus plan and future development goals, the International Education and Exchange Division and Mainland China Education and Exchange Division moved from International Dormitory to the administrative hub on first floor of Ying-Chao Memorial Library. To provide overseas students with caring, efficient, and convenient quality service, they joined Cross-Strait and Overseas Student Institute to form a joint operations office. Mr. Hsing-Wen Chou was transferred to be Section Chief of Mainland China Exchange Section, Mainland China Education and Exchange Division, and Mr. Chin-Peng Huang was promoted as the Section Chief of Taoyuan General Affairs Section, Taoyuan Campus Administration Division.
‧In the 2015-16 academic year, 11,287 students are matriculating toward a degree at MCU on Taoyuan Campus, comprising 10,790 undergraduate and 497 graduate students.

Year 2016
‧In March 2016, Fermentation Lab of Biotechnology Department was reconstructed to be the Biotechnology Lab. In order to comply with food good manufacturing practices (GMPs) standard, the Lab is equipped with a heat treatment and drying room. The Biotechnology Lab provides space for teaching, researching, processing and practicing.
‧In August, the Economics and Banking Department and the Applied Statistics and Information Science Department were transferred from the School of Management to the School of Social Sciences, effective from the 2nd semester of 2015-16. In line with the above adjustment, Management Building on Taoyuan campus has been renamed as Social Sciences Building II. In addition, the elevator on the right side of the Design Building was renewed in order to safeguard the safety of all faculty and staff members, and students.
‧As of September 2016, the following on-campus projects were completed during the summer break: (1) The outdoor basketball court was renovated with 2 full courts and 2 half courts for basketball, and 3 courts for volleyball. (2) New construction of a water reservoir was completed on the platform of the outdoor basketball court near the 1st dormitory to ensure sufficient water for residents’ use. (3) Renovated Food Service Facility II to increase the seats and established one accessible elevator for faculty members and students. (4) Established Air-conditioner Monitoring Systems in Social Sciences Building II, Information Building and Technology Building to implement power management in accordance with the course schedule. (5) Changed lights to CNS15592-LED in Social Sciences Building II to save power and take good care of faculty members’ and students’ health.
‧In November 2016, the roof of the First Gymnasium was replaced with 0.8mm PTFE (Poly Tetra Fluoro Ethylene) membrane. In December 2016, construction of a woodball court was completed on the third floor.
‧In academic year 2016-17, 11,519 students are matriculating toward a degree at MCU on Taoyuan Campus, comprising 10,989 undergraduate and 530 graduate students.

Year 2017
‧In March 2017, Board of Directors set up a pillar commemorating MCU 60 th Anniversary Celebration in Liu Ming-Chuan Memorial Garden. This pillar honors the tireless work in education by Dr. Ying-Chao Lee and Founder Pao and all MCU colleagues, recording the start of their careers from humble origins. The third Teaching Kitchen was established in the first floor at Tourism and Languages Building. As more and more students take public transportation to school, an additional bus stop was set up at the first and third dormitory. At the same time, the bitumen roadway and the ditch to the right side of the main entrance were repaired.
‧In July 2017, to accommodate the Taipei 2017 Universiade, the 400 meter track was changed to a rubber surface conforming to standards of the International Association of Athletics Federations.
‧In August 2017, establishment of the School of Financial Technology was approved by Ministry of Education, effective from the 2017-18 AY. Thus, starting from 2017-18 AY (August 1, 2017), Social Science Building II on Taoyuan Campus was renamed to Financial Technology Building.
‧In October 2017, Virtual Reality Research Center was built in the first floor of the Design Building to enhance study effectiveness and professional skills. To improve energy conservation, circulating fans were added to e-Classrooms of EE and S buildings.
‧In academic year 2017-18, 11,445 students are matriculating toward a degree at MCU on Taoyuan Campus, comprising 10,912 undergraduate and 533 graduate students.

Year 2018
‧In January 2018, the left-hand elevators of Design Building and Men’s Dormitory were replaced. In February 2018, improvement of marble paving at Ming Garden and Technology Building was completed.
‧In March 2018, to coordinate with Competitive Projects proposed by each School and department, Dr. Jeanne Lee, the Associate Dean of School of Design, planned and designed Maker Professional Lab and Information Technology Innovation Lab for School of Information Technology and VR Leisure Travel Lab for School of Tourism, etc.
‧In May 2018, Mr. Tien-Cheng Cheng was transferred to be Section Chief of Taoyuan Student Affairs Section. During June to September 2018, in order to provide a better dining environment, we finished landscaping design for Taoyuan First Restaurant environment.
‧In September 2018, in order to offer excellent Japanese learning environment, the Japanese Culture Classroom (P305) was renovated as “Ming Chuan Sado Classroom.” As a standard Kyoto-style tearoom space, students can learn more about Japanese culture through the Ming Chuan Sado Classroom. Also in September 2018, a Studio (M208) in Digital Media Design Department and an IT Creative Lab (S206) in Computer Science and Information Engineering Department were established.
‧In December 2018, an Intelligent Classroom (BB301) in School of Social Sciences was completed.
‧To cooperate with energy conservation policy, the project from last year was extended to complete installation of energy saving fans in regular classrooms of BB and CC buildings, and in administrative and faculty offices of Q, R, S, AA buildings.
‧In addition, for this academic year, the effort to be awarded subsidy for energy savings was once again successful. MCU was awarded separate subsidies of NT$1,100,000 and NT$2,143,000 to support the aim of smart energy saving university campuses.
‧In 2018-19 academic year, Animation and Comic Creative Industries Design Program in School of Design and Finance Technology Applications Program in School of Financial Technology were added to the degree offerings on Taoyuan Campus. For this academic year of 2018-19, 11,552 students are matriculating toward a degree at MCU on Taoyuan Campus, comprising 10,859 undergraduate and 693 graduate students.

Year 2019
‧In February 2019, Chengkung Road was repaired and power equipment for Taoyuan Campus was replaced through an Intelligent Electricity Use Project subsidized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Also, the central air conditioning system was completed in the Design Building and EE Building was changed to complete LED lighting.
‧In April 2019, a British Tea Culture Classroom (P405) was established in Applied English Department. In addition, window air conditioners were replaced in Student Dormitories I, II, and III. Moreover, a maintenance project for the huge billboards along International Walkway was completed.
‧In August 2019, a payment card-activated split air conditioning system was installed in student club offices on the second and fourth floors in First Gymnasium. The replacement of window air conditioners was completed in M and P buildings, while all lighting in Q, R, and CC buildings was replaced with LED.
‧Also in August 2019, in order to provide a more comfortable environment, all restrooms on the first floor of Ying-Chao Memorial Library & Administration Offices were rebuilt. Wood drafting tables in M309 & M409 and wooden chair-desks in 14 regular classrooms were replaced.
‧In October 2019, LED lighting was installed in M and P buildings, as well as Student Dormitories I and II. In addition, the elevator in Student Dormitory 2 was replaced.
‧For this academic year of 2019-20, 11,507 students are matriculating toward a degree at MCU on Taoyuan Campus, comprising 10,738 undergraduate and 769 graduate students.

Year 2020
‧In February 2020, painting of Dormitory I dorm rooms and balcony ceiling in public area was finished.
‧During February to October, we finished a barrier-free facility improvement project, including sidewalk paving from Restaurant II to Technology Building, restrooms for disabled on the first to the fifth floors in Information Technology Building, the adjustment of the ramped entry on sidewalk, toilet grab bars and emergency buttons in Dormitory I and II barrier-free rooms, and elevated floor in professional classrooms.
‧During May to October, we received financial assistance from the Ministry of Education in the Smart Buildings and Reduced Carbon Emissions Campus Project to establish a heat pump system and monitored control system in Dormitory III.
‧In September, we received a subsidy from the Ministry of Education and upgraded the barrier-free elevator on the right hand side of Dormitory II.
‧That same month, the steel structure maintenance painting project was completed for the Design Building, the left-hand side elevator in Tourism and Languages Building was renovated and the Animation and Comic Creative Industries Design Program Office was established on the second floor of Design Building.
‧In November, Indigenous Students’ Resource Center was established I in classroom 403-1 on the fourth floor of Comprehensive Teaching Building.
‧For this academic year of 2020-21, 11,436 students are matriculating toward a degree at MCU on Taoyuan Campus, comprising 10,656 undergraduate and 780 graduate students.

Year 2021
‧In September 2021, Ms. Ling-Shiuan Chen was transferred to be Section Chief of Operations Section, General Affairs Division, and Mr. Yung-Biou Wen was transferred to be Section Chief of Evening Class Administration Section, Taoyuan Campus Administration Division.
‧That same month, the Air-cooled Water Chiller Unit in Taoyuan Second Restaurant was upgraded to an Energy-saving Water Chiller Unit. The heat-pump system in International Dormitory was replaced with a new one.
‧In October 2021, the 137-stair Chengkung Wooden Walkway to the right of the main entrance (opposite of Student Motorcycle Parking Lot) was rebuilt and officially re-opened. It is a safe and convenient sidewalk for faculty and staff members, and students between Taoyuan Campus and Chengkung area. The main structure is composed of steel, while the railing and grating are made from plastic boards. There are street lamps and LED strips on both sides. Almost five million dollars was invested in this to help faculty, staff and students feel safe and bright while walking on campus.
‧In November 2021, a central control fire detection system was completed in each building through the Smart Switchboard Project in order to improve campus safety.
‧For the 2021-22 academic year, there are 279 class cohorts (204 undergraduate and 72 graduate) totaling 11,660 students matriculating toward a degree at MCU on Taoyuan Campus, comprising 10,803 undergraduate and 857 graduate students.

Year 2022
‧In August 2022, the outdoor basketball court surface renovation project on Taoyuan Campus was completed; in the same month, the heat-pump system in International Dormitory was replaced with a new one. In September, the space integration project and the improvement of the external air ventilation system of the Liu, Ming-Chuan Memorial Hall and the Cross-Strait Research Center in the basement of the Tourism and Language Building were completed. On October 1 of the same year, Yang, Jui-Lien, Dean of Student Affairs, was appointed to also serve as the Executive Director of Taoyuan Campus Administration Division. Hsu, Jer-Wen continues to serve as the Dean of General Affairs Division. On December 1 of the same year, Huang, Chin-Peng, the Section Chief of Taoyuan General Affairs Section, resigned, and Tsao, Tao-Tung, a Campus Security Staff Member in the Military Training Office of Student Affairs Division, was promoted to serve as the Section Chief of Taoyuan General Affairs Section.
‧For the 2022-23 academic year, there are 272 class cohorts (204 undergraduate and 68 graduate) comprising 11,245 students matriculating toward degrees at MCU on Taoyuan Campus (10,328 undergraduate and 917 graduate students).
